Windows Mobile 6 Home Page

The one thing that I haven’t been able to do with my Motorola Q9m is change the Internet Explorer home page. But today I have finally figured out how to that. It requires editing the registry. Of course, Windows Mobile 6 doesn’t come with a registry editor, but I found this great program called PHM Registry Editor. It’s a 28k cab file, that installs in your applications directory.

Once installed you just need to run the program, and navigate to:

I edited the Value of “Home” to my custom home page (www.roanoke.edu/michael/mobile.cfm), rebooted my phone, and it worked great.

I hope this tweak helps some people out. It’s a silly oversight on Microsoft’s part. All my other Pocket PC’s have had this option.
